June Hymn of the Month

With such a focus on the sovereignty of God over the last few months, this month, I wanted to focus our attention towards our responsibility in the great drama of redemption.

God sovereignly elects, and ensures that His children come to faith in His Son, but we must remember, that He has chosen to bring His gospel through His servants, by the the power of His holy Word, in proclaiming
His work on the cross.

This month, let us together, lift high, the cross of Jesus Christ.

Lift High the Cross
by: George W Kitchen and Michael Newbolt

Lift high the cross, the love of Christ proclaim,
Till all the world adore His sacred Name.

Led on their way by this triumphant sign,
The hosts of God in conquering ranks combine.

Each newborn servant of the Crucified
Bears on the brow the seal of Him Who died.

O Lord, once lifted on the glorious tree,
As Thou hast promised, draw the world to Thee.

So shall our song of triumph ever be:
Praise to the Crucified for victory.
